The Challenge
Scaling a content-rich e-commerce experience for a rapidly growing brand
A growing product range, international expansion across multiple markets and languages, and an increasingly complex digital ecosystem. Subscriptions, loyalty programs, coaching memberships, and a large body of multilingual lifestyle content. The store needed to handle all of this while staying fast, maintainable, and independent for the content team.
What I built
A fully headless Shopify store on Next.js, deployed on Vercel, with DatoCMS for content management
A fully headless Shopify store on Next.js, deployed on Vercel, with DatoCMS for content management. The commerce backbone runs on Shopify, integrated with Firmhouse (subscriptions), Yotpo (loyalty), Klaviyo (email marketing), and Virtuagym (coaching memberships).
To solve the challenge of discovery across both products and content, I implemented Algolia as a unified search layer, connecting Shopify product data and DatoCMS content (recipes, blogs, guides) into a single, fast, multilingual search experience with sub-100ms response times.
The Result
A content-rich commerce experience that scales with the brand and keeps the content team independent
All Core Web Vitals pass green. 1s LCP, 143ms INP, 0.02 CLS, and a 0.2s Time to First Byte. The content team publishes pages and campaigns independently. The platform handles peak traffic, like Black Friday, without issues. I provide ongoing maintenance and development as the store continues to evolve.
